NovusCG offers employees and eligible dependents a comprehensive benefits package that is industry competitive. The benefits described here are effective on the employee's date of hire, unless otherwise noted, and are subject to change.
Health Plans
Medical Benefits and Prescription Services: Employees and all dependents become eligible to participate in the employer paid NovusCG Medical Benefits plan on the first day of the month following their start date. Currently, NovusCG offers a Preferred Provider Plan (PPO) managed care strategy on the Anthem BCBS network. Dental Benefits: The employer paid NovusCG Dental Benefits plan through Guardian provides comprehensive dental coverage for a full range of preventive, restorative, and orthodontic dental services (children only). Employees and all dependents become eligible to participate in the Dental Benefits plan on the first day of the month following their start date. Vision Service Plan: This program provides coverage for both eye exams and eyewear for a nominal co-payment through the VSP network. Behavioral Health Benefits: The employer paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Managed Mental Health/Substance Abuse benefits are available to all employees and dependents enrolled in the NovusCG Medical Benefits plan. The coverage provides independent and confidential consultation for a wide range of problems including mental health, marital and family concerns, financial and legal matters, and substance abuse issues.
Pre-Tax Spending Accounts
Health Care Flexible Spending Account: This program allows employees to defer up to $5,000 per year on a pre-tax basis, and thereby lower taxable income, to pay for non-reimbursed health care expenses. Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account: This program allows employees to set aside up to $5,000 per year on a pre-tax basis, and thereby lower taxable income, to pay for dependent care expenses for eligible dependents.
Disability Plans
Short-Term Disability (STD): Provides 60% of an employee's weekly salary for up to 13 weeks for non-work-related illnesses or injuries, up to a weekly maximum of $2,500. Benefits begin on the first day of an accident, or the eighth day of an illness. Employees become eligible for STD on the first day of the month following their start date. Long-Term Disability (LTD): NovusCG provides all employees Long-Term Disability benefits, which are effective the first day of the month following the employee's start date. Benefits begin following a period of ninety days of continuous total disability. Should an employee become totally disabled and unable to earn an income, this program provides the employee with a disability income benefit equal to 60% of their salary, to a maximum of $10,000 per month, with participation ending upon termination of employment.
Life Insurance
Basic Group Term Life: NovusCG supplies all employees with a group term life insurance plan that has a maximum benefit equal to 100% of the employee's annual earnings, to a maximum of $50,000. Under the Term Life Insurance plan, employees designate a beneficiary who will receive payment in the event of their death. Employees become eligible for group term life insurance coverage on the first day of the month following their start date. Accidental Death and Dismemberment: NovusCG provides all employees with an Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) plan that has a maximum benefit equal to 100% of the employee's annual earnings, to a maximum of $50,000. Under the Accidental Death & Dismemberment plan, the death benefit is paid to the beneficiary and the dismemberment benefit is paid to the employee. Employees become eligible for Accidental Death & Dismemberment plan coverage on the first of the month following their start date. Optional Coverage's: NovusCG also offers an Optional Life Insurance Plan for employees and eligible dependents. This plan is designed for employees that wish to have more coverage than currently supplied free-of-charge to all NovusCG employees.
Investment Plan
Employees may contribute to one or both of the company's 401(k) or Roth 401(k) savings plans.
Paid Time-Off
Vacation/Personal Leave: NovusCG recognizes the importance of providing each employee the opportunity for rest, recreation and personal activities. To that end, Vacation/Personal Leave time is granted. The yearly cycle for calculating Vacation/Personal Leave time is January 1 – December 31.
